Split-Launch Plan for 18 Series

In the case of the complete 18 series, Apple has decided to adopt a split-launch plan to spread production and revenue across the year. According to this strategy, the standard iPhone 18 model might get released earlier than other models. The Chinese Spring Festival is about to take place in mid-February 2026 and Apple might release the standard 18 along with the iPhone 17e in February 2026, according to Forbes.

On the other hand, both Pro and Pro Max models will be released like Apple’s tradition in September 2026. Assembly lines for the Pro models are reportedly already built. A new mockup of the iPhone Fold has appeared online and anyone can 3D print it right now. It looks different from most foldable phones we are used to. One big change is the screen shape. The mockup was shared by a user named Subsy and is said to be based on a leaked design on MakerWorld. It is not the confirmed design but the upcoming foldable iPhone might resemble it. According to current rumors, the iPhone Fold may come with a 7.8-inch main display and a 5.5-inch outer screen. 

There are also some strong rumors that Apple is working on a crease-free foldable display. If that happens, it could be a big deal. Creases are one of the biggest problems with foldable phones today. A smoother screen could instantly make the iPhone Fold stand out. We think Apple does not want to rush this innovative iPhone and if these rumors turn out to be true, the iPhone Fold could change how people look at foldable phones.
